A Punta Cana Tours company

We have been driving this road since before there was a road

We were taking guests from Punta Cana Airport to their hotels before the company had a name. 2007 is the year we registered it legally, and it is the year we count from — but the work started earlier.

Punta Cana in 2007

One terminal, and not many flights coming into it. No autopista — no direct road from the airport to Bávaro, or to the rest of the country for that matter. Getting to Bávaro meant driving through Verón and out past the sugar cane fields. Cap Cana was land and nothing else: the ground was there, but no resorts and nobody living on it. Downtown Punta Cana was a field.

Most hotels opened for half the year. There was not enough business to stay open longer — Puerto Plata was where tourists went.

We were here for that. We are still here.

Before us, you haggled at the curb

We were the first company in the Dominican Republic to take a transfer booking online, and the first to accept a credit card for one. Before that, getting to your hotel meant negotiating a price with a stranger on the sidewalk and paying cash.

Back then everything at the airport ran through the sindicato, the drivers' union. If you were not in it, you heard about it: roads blocked with burning tires, threats against independent drivers, and riots when it escalated. The sindicato still exists. It has learned to respect us, and the law is enforced now in a way it was not then.

Still taking the friction out

Twenty years on, that is still the job. You can book with us and pay nothing today: if your transfer is more than 3 days away, reserve it for $0 — we take your card to hold the booking and charge it 3 days before you travel, not now. Transfers booked inside 3 days are paid when you book, and you can always choose to pay in full up front instead. Every other transfer operator in Punta Cana takes the whole amount at booking.

The FAQ has the rest of it — what happens when your flight is delayed, where your driver meets you, and how cancellation works.

What has never changed

For twenty years we have been taking tourists — the same as you — to their resorts. Service and customer satisfaction, repeat business and word of mouth: that was the motto at the start and it is the reason we are still here.

There are a lot more stories than these. The short version is that we have been here since the beginning, and we know this place better than anyone.
